Overview

When an old Shoshone Native American named Charlie Two Horse is found murdered on the Wind River Reservation, Lieutenant Robert (Bobby) Black Bear leads the investigation. Two Horse was found in his home, and the place had been torn apart. But like most of the Shoshone and Arapahoe on the res, Two Horse was poor and had nothing worth stealing. At least Black Bear thought so until he found a small hidden hole in the floorboards under Two Horses' bed. Something small had been hidden there, and now it was gone. Then a second murder happens on the res, and another Shoshone is the victim, and again, something hidden has been taken. When a third Shoshone is found murdered, this time within the city limits of Eagle, Wyoming, Lieutenant Eric Logan investigates. Then the medical examiner finds a small tattoo on each of the victims. It appears to be of a meteor. It appears there is a serial killer killing Shoshone Native Americans, but for what? Soon Black Bear and Logan join forces to uncover a cunning murderer, killing Shoshone Native Americans, stealing something from each. With the help of Logan's partner, Detective Chuck Blackwell, Max Yellowfeather, Abel Bright Star and an ancient story, Black Bear and Logan will uncover a deadly plot which is difficult to believe. But whether true or not, can they stop the killer before more Shoshone are murdered?
