Her practical experience includes positions in academic, regional, scholastic and international libraries. She has lectured and conducted meetings around the globe, and sits on the board of the Swiss Foundation Partnerships in Health. Grandbois was also the Executive Vice-President of the Geneva Women in International Trade Association, and former President and executive committee member of the Association of International Librarians and Information Specialists (AILIS).
