OverviewSermons from a Tiny Pulpit is a collection of sermons given over the years at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. Tiny does not refer to the size of the pulpit, we have a normal sized, maybe even larger than normal pulpit. It has all the amenities that a preacher might come to expect from a very nice pulpit: a good sound system, a light to read by, several shelves to store materials and even a place for a drink of water. No, the pulpit is not tiny at all, the group of believers is tiny, or rather, small in number. We discovered together that when called to really be the church, to minister to each other, to love our neighbor as ourselves, to be a peculiar people, that not many folks would come along with us. That is perfectly fine with us. You see Gideon only had three hundred men in his entire army, Jesus started with only twelve. We may be tiny in numbers but we are huge in heart, we are giants in faith and each one of our names is written in the Lamb's Book of Life! A tiny pulpit? Yes, yes it is. But we serve a gigantic God. I hope that Sermons from a Tiny Pulpit makes you think about our Lord in a different way, in a closer and deeper way. I hope that your desire to love the Lord your God with all of your heart and to love your neighbor as yourself is stirred up within you!
