Overview

Two mismatched rescue dogs, Serge, an Otterhound on the verge of retirement, and Roscoe, a Border Collie fresh out of the academy, are forced to team up to save the day when a wildfire ravages a Colorado forest. Roscoe is a Search and Rescue Force rookie who doesn't play by the rules. Serge is a veteran of the Force, looking forward to a well-earned retirement. Author Information

Len Vlahos is the author of several books of young adult fiction and young adult fantasy, including the Scar series and four stand-along novels. He has also worked in indie, chain, and university bookstores, was an on-air personality for a commercial radio station in Atlantic City, and was in a punk rock band in the mid-1980s, the Woofing Cookies. Ramón de Ocampo, an Earphones Award-winning narrator, was a cowinner in 2018 of the Audie Award for Best Multi-Voiced Performance. A graduate of the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama, he has been seen on television, film, and stages all over the world, including recurring roles on such television shows as The West Wing, 12 Monkeys, Sons of Anarchy, and Medium. He is the winner of a prestigious Obie Award for his stage work.
