Overview

Major Roberto Lastri is in Rimini to avenge a colleague who was killed in a shootout with Camorra members. To do so, he is forced to move around disguised as a tourist in a city that is still bustling with beachgoers, and he must act without any protection from higher-ups because his colleague's death has made it clear that there is a mole in the chain of command-a traitor selling information to the enemy. He manages to get close to the Camorra members right on the beach, but there he meets a very troubled family that distracts him from his duty, forcing him to intervene to help them and, in doing so, to take even greater risks. The showdown is approaching and everything is stacked against him; soon it will be time to face Polidoro, the killer so ruthless he has become a legend, and the Major finds himself distracted by things that have nothing to do with his mission. Will he succeed, or is a fate identical to that of his colleague awaiting him? Giotto Invisibile is a professor of Italian for foreigners, an essayist and author of crime novels, some of which have achieved good critical and public success, written under a pseudonym.
