Kurt Hjelle is a compassionate, christian man who is clear about his purpose in life: help others. He's a licensed Physical Therapist (PT), and has over 24 years experience as a health care professional. After being a traveling Physical Therapist working in many different settings across the country, Kurt decided to become an ""independent contractor"" and took on assignments from several different home health care agencies (and this is one of the many reasons Kurt understands both home health care and home care from every perspective). That's what prompted Kurt to launch Safe at Home Healthcare - a highly successful home care agency servicing the western suburbs of Chicago. Kurt is a husband and proud father of three kids - he wants to give his kids choices as they grow up, never miss any of their events and to leave a legacy his family will be proud of. He quickly learned his agency was the perfect business for him, because he can impact so many lives. I can make sure more elderly people are getting the care they need. I can take the pressure off their adult children who are often their caregivers, so they don't have to miss a lot of work time (and income), and they can have peace of mind that their parent(s) are being assisted and monitored properly. I can help more home caregivers, like Victoria, find decent paying jobs, doing work that is truly fulfilling. Kurt kept his agency small, on purpose.
