From 2009 to 2010, Dr. Deng worked as a visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley. He has been a professor at Fudan University since 2011 and has published over 190 peer-reviewed journal papers with a total citation of over 17000 times (H index: 68). He received the first prize of the National Natural Science Award in 2020 (the third place among winners) and the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2021, and he was elected as the Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chemistry (FRSC) in 2020.
