She lives, writes, and illustrates in Saarland, Germany. Tammi Reichel earned two degrees in theology and then moved to Germany for a decade, where she became an editor for an international publisher. She has translated a wide range of books, from art and architecture to cookbooks to young adult novels, including My Family for the War, which received the 2013 Batchelder Award.
