OverviewThis book delves into microbial-based autonomous self-healing concrete. It offers an in-depth review that includes mechanisms derived from microbiologically induced calcite precipitation (MICP) and different applications of autonomous bio based healing. It also covers evaluation of self-healed concrete and properties of encapsulated alginate hydrogel and encapsulated Geobacillus stearothermophilus as self-healing agents in concrete. This book provides practical insights into different types of bio-based self-healing techniques that can be implemented in real-world applications and offers guidance on self-healing concrete, making it an essential resource for anyone interested in this innovative area of construction technology.
