Dr. Rafat Siddique is a Senior Professor of Civil Engineering & Dean of Research and Sponsored Projects Affairs at Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, India. He is the Editor of Journal of Construction and Building Materials (Elsevier) and Associate Editor of ASCE Journal of Materials in Civil Engineering. He also served as Associated Editor of Journal of Sustainable Cement-Based Materials (Taylor & Francis) for five years (2012-2017). He is also on the Editorial Board of Journal of Building Engineering (Elsevier) ad Journal of Resources, Conservation and Recycling (Elsevier) His major thrust areas of research are Self-Compacting Concrete, Utilization of Waste Materials and Industrial By-products in Construction Materials, Supplementary Cementing Materials, Behaviour of Concrete at Elevated Temperature, and Microbial Concrete. He is the author of over 130+ research articles in peer-reviewed journals and authored four books including two books by Springer on “Waste Materials and By-products in Concrete” and “Supplementary Cementing Materials”.
