OverviewThe development of international law and doctrine in the Russian Empire was influenced by the works (on prize law, constitutionalism and other facets of international law) of Ukrainian jurist Dmitrii Ivanovich Kachenovskii [1827-1872], who held the Chair of International Law at Kharkov University. Rare among his colleagues, Kachenovskii traveled extensively throughout Europe and spoke, wrote, and published in English. In this volume we collect his English publications, all of them uncommon and never before assembled in one place. Edited by WILLIAM E. BUTLER, who contributes an introductory essay on the life and works of Kachenovskii. CONTENTS: On the Life and Works of D. I. Kachenovskii - William E. Butler; WORKS BY D. I.
