Author Information

Diego Rossit is a full-time adjunct professor at Universidad Nacional del Sur, Argentina (UNS) and an assistant researcher at CONICET. His areas of expertise include optimization models and tools, as well as data analysis in Industrial Engineering applications. He has co-authored several indexed scientific publications and, to date, he has 37 indexed publications in Scopus with an h-index of 11. He has undertaken research stays at the Universidad de la República (Uruguay), the Australian National University (Australia), the Università di Bologna (Italy), the Universidad de Málaga (Spain), the University of Texas at Austin (USA), and the Universidad Nacional de Asunción (Paraguay). He has experienced as a guest editor in Special Issues at Mathematical Biosciences and Engineering, Programming and Computer Software and as an editor of conference proceedings of international conferences.  Pedro Moreno-Bernal is a full-time associate professor at Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Morelos (UAEM), Mexico, and a national research associate at CONAHCyT. His fields of interest are computational intelligence, metaheuristics, energy sustainability, and Smart Cities. He has co-authored several indexed scientific publications and, to date, has nine indexed publications in JCR and 20 indexed publications in Scopus with an h-index of 4. He has experience as a guest editor in Special Issues of Cities (Elsevier), Energy and Buildings (Elsevier), Sensors, Sustainability and Applied Science (MDPI), Mathematical Biosciences and Engineering (AIMS Press), Programming, and Computer Software (Springer), Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences (Tech Science Press), SN Computer Science (Springer) and as an associate editor of Renewable Energies (SAGE), and editor conference proceedings of international conferences.   Carlos Enrique Torres-Aguilar is an associate professor at the Mechanical Electrical Engineering Academy of the Engineering and Architecture Academic Division, Universidad Juárez Autónoma de Tabasco (UJAT), Mexico. His research focuses on studying heat transfer mechanisms and fluid mechanics through modeling and simulation of phenomena, implementing numerical methods for energy efficiency in buildings and related solar systems. Among his recent studies is the dynamic modeling of constructive and passive ventilation and thermal comfort systems through computation fluid dynamics (CFD), global energy balance (GEB) approaches, optimizing numerical solutions of radiative exchange models with participating mediums, and developing experimental prototypes based on the thermal passive system for building ventilation and for validating dynamical models. He has published several scientific articles in journals indexed in the Journal Citations Report (JCR) and has participated in national and international conferences. He has experience as an editor of international conference proceedings.
