SEEING GOD THROUGH THE HUMAN BODY-- A Doctor's Meditation on the Human Miracle is a head-on confrontation with the theory of evolution. In it, medical doctor and creationist Dr Robert Peprah-Gyamfi uses his leaning and insight as a doctor to defuse the theory of evolution and makes a case in favour of an Intelligent Designer, God Almighty, in the creation of the human body. Appealing to common sense and drawing upon his medical knowledge, the author argues that the functioning and design of the various organs of the body--the brain, heart, liver, kidneys, etc.--are so intricate and marvellous that they could only have come about through remarkably clever forethought and planning. The breast of a mother producing milk to sustain her helpless child after birth; the heart in our chest pumping blood to keep us alive; the liver carrying on complex synthetic and detoxification reactions to help sustain us--all of these and several other wonders occurring in our body point to the hand of a Supreme Being, God Almighty.

Itis indeed gratifying that a medical doctor like Dr. Peprah-Gyamfishould use his leanings and insights as a doctor to make the casefor Creationism, which gives the Lord Almighty full credit for thecreation of humankind as recorded in the Bible. Having read hisbook, I have to yield to the clear evidence of a Divine Creator--Ican see no reason why any readers will not perceive for themselvesthe incredible uniqueness of the intelligence that has surely gone intothe various systems that keep the human body alive and functioning.The brain, heart, liver, kidneys, spine--all of these and many morecould only have come about through remarkably clever forethoughtand planning.What is more, every human being, unlike the animals that somebelieve gave rise to human beings, is remarkably unique, whichagain shows the hand of God. We are, as Dr. Peprah-Gyamfi says quoting the psalmist, fearfully and wonderfully made (Ps. 139:14). The human body, without exaggeration, is a miracle, or better still, the sum total of miracles. Indeed, there are thousands upon thousands, if not millions upon millions or billions uponbillions of miracles simultaneously at work in our bodies to keep us going.Appealing to common sense and drawing upon his medicalknowledge, the author lays bare the sheer wonder of our design.Thinking men and women will surely see that what he reveals is true, that behind it all is a loving and patient Creator who sustains us, eventhe atheist who denies Him.
