Author Information

Age twenty-five, Aiden Bertolino-Haley lives on the north shore of the oldest lake in North America. His wife, two kids, two cats, and three dogs live there with him on a quarter acre lot. Their little town, Lucerne, California, is named after the beautiful Swiss city of the same name due to its resemblance to the mountains of Eastern Europe. In the summer he works for the County Agriculture Department as an agricultural-specialist inspecting the local vineyards for invasive insects. In the winter he fills his time by landscaping, reading, writing, and preparing his garden for the next season. He loves to play sports, spend time in nature, and to cook for his family and friends.A childhood spent exploring Northern California's wilderness and an education in agriculture-horticulture from Mendocino College has highlighted his inherent passion for the natural world. A background in religious studies and philosophical dialogue gives a bit of a mystical twist to his writing, interested in the psychological and spiritual benefits of gardening just as much as the physical ones.
