see you in the light

Overview

see you in the light is a collection of poems, prose, and prayers. A space where emotions, feelings, and thoughts are witnessed. A home for questions that sometimes seem to have no answers. A meditation on light and dark. Sun and shadow, looking to the moon. Stars. A place to abandon pain and let the light in. A breath of fresh air, the sweet scent of hope wherever it blooms. I penned see you in the light during national and globally dark times, seeking shelter from clouds of uncertainty, growing hate, disenchantment, and rampant turmoil. Writing gave me a place to spill my insides constructively. A place to paint the pictures of others' struggles, seeing the world, life, as they do. Sometimes what unfolded became a compass to navigate our challenging world. At other times, I merely spoke, witnessed, or allowed the pages to hold space. Many entries arrived before, during, or after meditation. Some are meditation in and of themselves--experiences beyond perfect words. All that emerged grew into a hand to hold my heart.

Author Information

adriene nicastro is an ordained minister, spiritual healer, empath, author, messy human; most days she's staring out the window, pen in hand, fingers over keyboards, when she's not helping people, tickling pets, and watching bugs under old crooked oaks.
