John Gentry, Wilderness Educator, Robbins, TN Author InformationMark Warren was the 1998 U.S. Whitewater Champion in slalom and wildwater combined. In 1999 he won the World Longbow Championship. In 1980 he was named Georgia's Conservation Educator of the Year by the National Wildlife Federation. He has taught youth and adult classes in survival skills for 45 years, telling stories and presenting ceremonies around campfires to students aged seven to eighty-seven. Mark lives with his wife, Susan, in the mountains of north Georgia at his school, Medicine Bow. A native of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Karen Paul Stone holds a BA degree in French and Spanish from the University of Kentucky and founded Waldenhouse Publishers, Inc. in 1995 near Chattanooga. She serves as Editor in Chief and principal designer. She is also Editor of McCoy Farm & Gardens Newsletter in Walden, TN. She was co-founder of Ashland Press in 1975 and for ten years a principal of Transylvania Printing Company, both in Lexington, KY. She is author of several books.
