Rich Frain Rich Frain is the CEO of the Frain Group of companies. The Frain Group is the foremost company in North America dedicated to providing on time packaging machinery solutions. Rich, an Industrial Engineer by training, founded the company in 1981. The company has grown to include over 1,000,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space just minutes from O'Hare airport. Frain maintains an inventory of over 8,000 new and late model packaging and processing machines covering over 120 different categories of equipment. This diverse inventory of equipment allows customers to get their products to market quickly and to stretch their capital spending by borrowing machines until the purchase of either existing or new equipment is justified. John R Henry John R Henry has 35 years of experience designing, selling, commissioning and supporting all types of packaging machinery in all industries. After stints in the Navy and managing facility operations at Alcon Laboratories he purchased Automation Sales, a packaging, assembly and manufacturing machinery sales and service company which he ran for 22 years. Realizing the need to reduce changeover times, in 1994 he formed Changeover.com to offer these services, becoming known as The Changeover Wizard. His book Achieving Lean Changeover: Putting SMED to Work shares his extensive knowledge in this field. John is also the author of the bible of packaging machinery, Packaging Machinery Handbook as well as Machinery Matters: John Henry on Packaging, Machinery, Troubleshooting John has published more than 60 articles, columns and essays in various packaging, engineering and manufacturing magazines. He is a contributing writer at Packaging Digest where, under the pseudonym KC Boxbottom, Packaging Detective he writes the Adventures in Packaging blog. John is a popular and frequent speaker on packaging, changeover and operations at conferences including Pack Expo, InterPhex and others.
