Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationRichard Crallan started work as a specialist family law barrister in England in 1991, representing over a thousand spouses going through divorce, many on Legal Aid, who were having their financial disputes resolved in court. In 2001 Richard became one of a small number of English divorce lawyers who become 'dual qualified' as a barrister and solicitor advocate and then worked at a well known 'Magic Circle' firm of solicitors in Mayfair, London, where he represented a number of high profile and extremely wealthy divorce clients. In 2004 Richard qualified as an Australian barrister and solicitor and then worked as a specialist divorce lawyer in Perth, Western Australia for three years where he acted for some of the state's wealthiest clients including the owners of one of the largest cattle stations with over 50,000 head of cattle. In 2008 Richard set up his firm Crallan Family & Divorce Solicitors in Bath and Bristol which was the first firm of solicitors in England to offer fixed fees for contested divorce cases. Richard is passionate about making the cost of divorce more affordable for those on average incomes which is a subject that has become highly relevant since the abolition of Legal Aid for family law litigation in 2013. Richard wrote this book to help those going through the divorce courts to keep their solicitor's fees to a minimum by showing them how to do many of the tasks themselves. It will also help litigants in person manage without a lawyer at all. Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
