OverviewShe was born in Stirchley, Birmingham, during the 70s, survived rape, bereavement, divorce, miscarriage, and domestic violence. She lives with recurrent depression, and in the spirit of Sankofah she is reclaiming her power. Don't you ever give up. If she can do it, anyone can! She nearly drank herself to death, walked on the wild side, on the dastardly, dark side, until her wake-up call. On bad days, depression circles overhead, like a dark angel waiting to carry away her soul. However, Sankofah Therapy has enabled her to put trauma to paper, to heal herself, and hopefully inspire others along the way. A reputation for ruthlessness, isn't a bad thing. It can actually make one quite credible. Massive success is the best possible, revenge. Nevertheless, true power lies in the freedom to speak. Kick yourself out of your box. Tell your story. Life is too short to be miserable. Be happy, be free! Yemaja created Your Press to publish this book, and in the process, discovered writing as a therapy that has and continues to heal her life. Writing therapy has helped her find her voice, psychic ability, and a deep, sense of inner peace. She's on a mission to encourage women, and men to speak up, be empowered, and recover by telling their powerful stories of survival. What's your story?
