I know it's written about, and aimed, at young kids but this book brings a smile to a person of any age! It all revolves around an antique gift Sam and Abby received called a stereoscope, that includes photos of 'SANTA'. Hmmmm....he doesn't look quite right!? And then they go to the mall to visit Santa with their parents and wind up 'lost' in another age..... While trapped in the late 1800's all they want is to get back to their folks and by coincidence meet a couple of famous folks who help them along their way... I loved it, was fascinated by it, and i think you will be too! -- Linda Marie Marsh ---- I won this book from Goodreads, and I am so glad that I did! Super fun read, and after I read it, I gifted it to my 10 year old granddaughter, and she loved it too. We both love mysteries, and this did not disappoint. Fun read. -- Betsy --- Though this book is geared toward the younger reader (ages 6-10) it certainly would make a great read-aloud for the Christmas Eve countdown. The story is told through the eyes of Sam, almost 12, who along with his sister, Abby, 7, receive an old stereoscope from their grandpa. And of course it came with picture cards, several had mysterious images and one was of a rather curious skinny Santa and off the story zoomed! -- Jay Gilbertson What a fun and interesting book!
