She lived a precarious life as a child, always in search of a new experience and the next best thing. As an adult, J. Faber lived a complex and yet vibrant life. Her independent and questioning nature took her everywhere from pursuing a career in the convent to that of a local news reporter. The mother of five, she completed her BA in Social Science and an MFA in creative writing in her mid forties. In her fifties, J. Faber openly embraced her gay life choice and began anew living with her life partner until her death in 2009. This novel was completed just six months prior to her death and sought to bring healing and hope to the many women seeking to break free from the pain of the past and to embrace the freedom of self-expression awaiting them.
