Overview

Larry and Lee Martin, brothers from Deming, New Mexico, start their summer break from high school with a planned campout and a visit to the Gila Cliff Dwellings near Pinos Altos, New Mexico. After finding a buried clay pot inside the dwellings with a mysterious coded note inside it, they set out looking for an archaeology professor that could decipher the code. Little did they know that not every college professor is trustworthy. They are given incorrect information and sent on a wild goose chase, then cheated out of their find. They form the New Mexico Sky Rangers Detective Agency and set out to solve the mystery behind the stolen artifacts. Both boys have motorcycles and their pilot's licenses, with access to their dad's airplanes. With lots of miles behind them all over New Mexico and several aerial adventures, it leads them to clues in the National Forests, National Parks, and a castle with hidden rooms where they are held prisoner in a dungeon. With the help of their Boy Scout Troop, they escape and solve the mystery of the Gila Cliff Dwellings.
