Overview

Second Son tells the story of Yoshitsugu Nomura who was born in the last year of the 1800's to a merchant family living in a small fishing village in Japan. Following a different route than the one used by a majority of Japanese immigrants, as a teenager, Yoshi leaves his family for adventure abroad, following his karma, and finally settling in the Pacific Northwest. When WWII began, the old country ancestors were on the wrong side. All persons of Japanese descent living along the Pacific Coast were suspect and sent to Internment Camps for the duration of the war. The years following, Yoshi and daughter find their way back to Seattle to build their new life together.
