OverviewThe main reason for publishing a poem is that I understand that it is easy for readers to understand. Therefore, since it takes a lot of time to consider the main message of a prose text, and poetry is the expressive nature of conveying a lot of messages with limited words, I decided to make the essay in poetry. The main reason why I wanted to convey my message in poetry is for the people who have denied many people the security of life, for the people who have lost their mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, relatives, and relatives in the war, for the genocide committed by foreign and internal enemies in the war... for those who have risen to bring peace to the country to prevent this injustice and death, for those who have shown love for the country, for the Ethiopian National Defense Force, the Ethiopian Air Force, the Special Forces, and for the sacrifices they have made for the motherland and for the people... It is a spirit of jealousy. Because I love my country. But how can I prove my love? I asked myself, why would I go to the front and help and die? I said. Even a university student left his studies and fought, a government employee left his job and fought, a farmer left his farm and fought in the war, I said, those who truly loved their country have shown the truth in practice. If they die for the country, v P a g e if they fall, they leave their jobs because they have gone beyond the motherland. I said, who will be the one to do it? What is my role? I said that their work is to write a poem that shows their love and work. As the fathers said, what is written is not forgotten, it is passed on to the next generation. At least the generation that was in this era tells the story of the problems of this time, the suffering, the suffering, the war, the genocide, the racism, the love of money... what happened, I congratulate all the patriotic people on the liberation of Ethiopia from its current state of peace to the hope of the future, the Abay River; I am saying that you have seen the Abay River with your own eyes; I am saying that the Abay River is a new victory for my country Ethiopia, because of the sweat of many years, and I have called the title of the book Abay or Re-Adwa. I miss all the good things that I see in Ethiopia, such as mutual slaughter, war, evil, reliance on power, putting money before people, selfishness, lack of compassion, the old Ethiopian culture, values, greetings, peace, unity, love, hospitality, etc.; because my country is not good in its old identity but in its current state, may God bring a drone Ethiopia, where else can I ask the fathers? In part, it is a time of killing, separation, destruction, oppression, where mothers are barren, where more than a million people are killed in war, where more than a million people are displaced, where hungry, needy, crying girls are openly raped, where people are not guaranteed to enter the country in peace, where solidarity and understanding have been lost... to show that this is an era. I wish that my country will return to its old identity of caring, understanding, solidarity, entering the country in peace, where people work and change, where people trade and earn, where people give birth and listen, where people live in love, where the sound of vi P a g e bullets is not heard, and I pray to God that we will see its old identity back with hope, love, and unity. I have named the title of the book Re-Adwa.
