Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationJulie Blitzer first learned haiku poetry in elementary school; it resonated with her immediately. She loved the challenge in its command for succinctness. As a child, she worked with the form mostly for English classes, but writing haiku became Julie's cathartic hobby after it was reintroduced to her when she was in her mid 40's. It now provides a daily outlet for expression and experiencing ""flow,"" a state depicted by a lovely balance of effort and ease. While Julie often finds herself counting syllables on her fingers, she spends her time as a householder, a Grief Recovery Method Specialist, an end-of-life doula, a women's community builder, and a Hoffman Process Graduate Leader. She resides in Connecticut among several males, each poetic in their own righther husband, their two sons, and the family's beloved terrier.
