Sharon is a third generation Canadian of Japanese descent who was inspired to write this book to combine her interests in education and plants in a book project. She has a postgraduate degree in agricultural sciences and is an avid gardener who has always been interested in discovering new and exciting crops for an area. Sharon resides in the Vancouver, B.C. area with her husband and extended family.
