Her Dad is a fisherman and sometimes there isn't much food on their table. They always have enough to eat even if it is only brown bread and soup. Sarah's best friend is the sea. She tells the sea her most fervent desires and believes the sea listens to her. Christmas is coming soon and she doesn't dare ask her parents for a new dress but.....she does tell the sea. What a wonderful surprise she receives one morning. 'Whoever is truly good receives goodness in return'. Wonderful lesson in life to learn at an early age. The drawings are well done and accompany the text. Colorful and bright which will hold the attention of the little ones in your life. The author has suggested this book is for ages 2 - 7 and P - 2.
