She has been teaching Spanish for 21 years, including Spanish conversation and composition, Peninsular literature, and Hispanic culture and film. Mónica B. Botta is an associate professor of Spanish at Washington and Lee University. She teaches at all levels, from survey courses to seminars on Latin American theater and first-person narratives, among others. Her articles on theatrical chronicles in the 19th century and Latin American theater have appeared in Romance Notes, Hispanófila, Romance Quarterly, Sumposium, and Latin American Theater Review.
