The book is a help to pray the rosary as it was meant to be prayed, which mainly is as a meditation on important events in the life of Jesus Christ and his mother Mary. These meditations help one to know and love Jesus and Mary better. The rosary when prayed well becomes a pathway to contemplation and a closer union with God. The book is written from a Carmelite perspective as the author is a member of the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites (OCDS). Also included is information on the prayers of the rosary, how to pray the rosary, the reasons to pray, preparing for prayer, and how to meditate on the mysteries of the rosary including information given to the child Jacinta from Our Lady of Fatima on how to meditate. The book concludes with the story of Our Lady of Fatima including the secrets of the Fatima message as revealed later by Sister Lucia, one of the seers at Fatima, and the Fifteen Promises of the Blessed Virgin to Christians who faithfully pray the rosary.
