OverviewThis journal is designed to provide a personal space for you to brainstorm and jot down your film script ideas in an organized manner. There's enough space to write notes about 5 scripts. In addition to the form for each script, there's a section for you to write 10 pages of notes per script. You may prefer to complete the form either before or after you've written notes. Or, you may go back and forth between these techniques. Ideally, artists using this journal are already familiar with the basic aspects of screenwriting for film. This journal is not intended to teach you screenwriting. Rather, the idea is that you'll be able to look over the completed form and get a snapshot of your script. For each script, you can note the title, logline, MPAA rating, genre, time/setting, concept, themes, plot summary, tone, market, estimated budget, characters, and cast consideration. Identifying crucial components of your script may help keep you on track as you write. Having a summary of your script may also help you perfect what you'd say when the time comes to pitch your script.
