I already knew the band configuration; so there was no need to go through that process again. My task was to figure out how to get the brace to work. I paused to consider this for a moment; I knew her back was crooked, and I wanted to get it straight. Viewed from behind, the spine would look like a straight line. My eyes widened at the realization. Of course, a straight line! I'm not exaggerating that this was a Eureka moment for me. In an instant, all the pieces of the SpineCor puzzle just fell into place, and I knew for the first time (in two years!) that my daughter would be all right. I couldn't believe it was this easy. It took seven months (April 27-November 28) of weekly journal entries for me to learn the correct fitting of the brace.
