Dr. Surender S. Ghonkrokta, IAS is former President Association of Food Science and Technology (India). He has Ph.D, M.Sc. (Food Technology) degree from CFTRI (Mysore), MBA (FMS, Delhi Univ.), MA (Rural Social Development, Univ. of Reading, UK). Dr. Ghonkrokta has published 20 papers in national/ international journals, authored one book, contributed chapters in 2 books. He headed the Indian delegation for Codex Committee Meeting on Food Additives (CCFA) at Hangzhou, China and Codex Committee Meeting on Nutrition and Foods for Special Dietary Uses (CCNFSDU), held at Bad Soden am Taunus, Germany. He has represented India on food safety/ nutrition issues, attended various (more than 200) workshops/seminars/conferences within and outside India.
