For the last 15 years, he has been involved in fundamental, applied research (mainly for industry) in polymers and his fundamental understanding of polymer science has helped him to develop successful medical products. Dr. Zhang’s work has covered most aspects of medical materials and medical devices from R&D stages to manufacturing. In addition to working as Principal Consultant for Lucideon, Dr. Zhang is currently organizing and supervising research in degradable polymers and their hybrid composites for medical applications at the University of Cambridge.
