Fritz Peter Knapp, Professor of Medieval German Language and Literature at the University of Heidelberg since 1996; author of numerous articles and books including a history of the medieval literatures of Austria (3 volumes) and studies in poetic theory (Historie und Fiktion in der mittelalterlichen Gattungspoetik, 1997). Jurgen Miethke, Dr. phil. (1967), habilitated Berlin (1970) is Professor of Medieval History at the University of Heidelberg (1983-2003). He was a Fellow of the Historisches Kolleg , Munchen (1988/89) and a Member of the Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton (1994/5). He has published extensively on church history, intellectual history and political theory. Manuela Niesner, Assistant Professor of Medieval German Language and Literature at the University of Heidelberg since 2002. Ph.D. Cologne 1993. Her publications include Wer mit juden well disputiren. Deutschsprachige Adversus-Judaeos-Literatur des 14. Jahrhunderts (printing).
