Scholarships for Middle Class Students: Strategies to Help Students Afford College and Reduce Student Loans

Overview

Are you a middle-class student looking for scholarships to help pay for college?Do you want to find merit-based scholarships, college scholarships without financial need, scholarship contests, and student awards that can help reduce the cost of higher education? Are you wondering whether scholarships exist for students from middle-income or higher-income households who do not qualify for need-based financial aid? Scholarships for Middle Class Students answers yes. Many students and parents assume scholarships are only available to families with significant financial need. As a result, middle-class families often miss valuable scholarship opportunities, financial aid alternatives, and college funding resources that can help reduce college costs, minimize student loan debt, and protect parent savings or retirement accounts. But there are many scholarships, prizes, and awards available for students who demonstrate academic excellence, achievement, leadership, talent, and other qualities that can lead to funding for college. In Scholarships for Middle Class Students, Marianne Ragins, a $400,000 scholarship winner and experienced scholarship workshop leader, shows students and families how to find scholarships for middle class students, merit scholarships, no-need scholarships, and cash prize contests even if they do not qualify for need-based aid. This guide helps readers uncover practical ways to pay for college, reduce reliance on student loans, and find scholarship money that can make higher education more affordable.
