Cathy, geboren in Stratford, Ontario, Canada, werd beïnvloed door Shakespeare en andere dichters zoals Shelley, Tennyson en Wordsworth, naast Canadese dichters zoals James Reaney en Earl Birney, die zij eenmaal ontmoette tijdens een lezing in de openbare bibliotheek van Stratford. Cathy, who was born in Stratford, Ontario, Canada, was influenced by Shakespeare and other poets such as Shelley, Tennyson and Wordsworth in addtion to Canadian Poets including James Reaney and Earl Birney who she met once at a reading at The Stratford Public Library. She is an avid reader of the poetry of Mary Oliver and hopes to one day grow up and be her.
