Sandra graduated from college in 1970 and served as a primary school teacher for almost four decades. She found that her passion for art, drama and storytelling flourished in the classroom setting, where she dedicated herself to fostering a love of the arts in her young students. Her first book, The Magician's Plot, written and illustrated for younger children was published in 2023.Sandra's latest book, Saving Joe, began life as a short story, in 1978. After coming across it when searching through old papers she thought it would be interesting to develop the tale. Sandra hopes that Saving Joe will be enjoyed by young and old alike, giving young readers a taste of life in the 1950s and older folk a feeling of nostalgia for those bygone times.
