OverviewThis series is written by four authors: Miranda Kate, Michael Wombat, Victoria Pearson and Lisa Shambrook. Four heroes, four quests, one mission: save the Summer Realm Cockatrice attacks are intensifying as the fate of the Summer Realm hangs in the balance. Ulysses Rasselas, Minister of Secrets & Lies, has limited contact with his agents, but he's sure the rumours that Guardwinder Cleaveskull has been poisoned are incorrect; reliable reports tell him that the man's elaborate winged-helmet has been seen on an old airship over the Saher desert. Councillor Cooperson is causing disruption as he searches for his runaway son, who, Rasselas' spies inform him, is travelling with agent Ash. He only hopes the boy's expensive education proves valuable in locating firebird seeds. Worryingly, the agent from another world, Tricky, is seeking assistance from Khymeia's magical guild. Rasselas hopes it's not related to the 'Order of the Swarm' he's investigating. Surely, nobody intentionally opened a portal to let these creatures in? Definitely not Tricky, despite the whispers of the order's rogue mages. A talk with their ring leader in freezing Snowcrest should clarify things. And maybe he'll catch wind of agent Wren's progress while up there. She's elusive - but that's why he recruited her. Time is running out. Rasselas needs the four to complete their quests, because the prospect of the army falling, and the realm along with them, is too much to bear. Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationMiranda started out life wanting to be a film director, but when directing people didn't work, she turned to words instead, finding them much easier to deal with - most days. Miranda has been featured in several Flash Fiction anthologies and ezines, and published several books, including three collections, four novels, and a novella. She writes across genres, which include Horror, Science Fiction Fantasy, Time Travel and Paranormal Fantasy, often mixing them together - the one constant being that they are all dark. Under the pen name, M K Boers, she writes psychological thrillers. Miranda Kate, spent her early childhood in Surrey, in the south of England, and her teens and early adulthood moving round the UK, but currently resides in the Netherlands. A Yorkshireman living in the rural green hills of Lancashire, Michael Wombat is a man of huge beard. He has a penchant for good single-malts, inept football teams, big daft dogs and the diary of Mr. Samuel Pepys. Abducted by pirates at the age of twelve he quickly rose to captain the feared privateer 'The Mrs. Nesbitt' and terrorised the Skull Coast throughout his early twenties. Narrowly escaping the Revenue men by dressing as a burlesque dancer, he went on to work successively and successfully as a burlesque dancer, a forester, a busker, and a magic carpet salesman. The fact that he was once one of that forgotten company, the bus conductors, will immediately tell you that he is as old as the hills in which he lives. Nowadays he spends his time writing, telling tall tales in his bio, and pretending to take good photographs. Lisa is a neurodivergent writer and artist, delving into sensitive subjects that will lift your spirit and steal your heart. She conjures worlds of fantasy, and post-apocalypse which will ignite your imagination. Born and raised in vibrant Brighton, England, living by the ocean heavily influenced her sensory and emotional writing. She works with the senses, description, and colour, and her readers will easily visualise the narrative. She draws inspiration from her chaotic family, memory, and imagination. After she had her first of three children they moved to Carmarthen, West Wales, a market town also rich in legend and lore. Now she loses herself in the mossy forests and finds herself in creativity. She has an Etsy shop, Amaranth Alchemy, where she creates magical crystal grid art prints and postcards using nature, enchanting stones, and gems with intentions and spiritual energy. She also breathes new life into old pages, creating bookpage gifts and art from old, worn, torn, and abandoned books. She loves family time, walking in forests with her dog, watching waves crash on the beach, photography, crystals, art, and last but not least, writing.
