Wren Calder is a wildlife photographer from Brooklyn with a simple assignment: hike into Washington's Cascade Mountains, photograph an osprey colony, hike out. But when she loses the trail and a brutal storm rolls in, the forest becomes a killing floor. She should have died that night.
