Here are comments from students at the University of Washington based on their experience with Sapling Intro Stats during its development: This was better than other online homework platforms I have used in college. When I took a calculus class here at UW, the homeworks just let you submit as many times as possible, which just allowed students to guess and check a bunch of times without actually thinking about what the right answer is. I've used a few different products for my math courses over the years, and this one, by far, is the best in homework review. Sapling's feedback on problems helped me immensely to understand how to do certain problems in a way that I don't think others would. Hints always bring me some idea so that I can get on the right track for solving the problem. Feedback is useful because it tells me what mistake that I made. By having the practice problems (and feedback each step of the way when I got a problem wrong), I was able to see exactly where my mistakes were about a certain concept (such as conditional probability).
