Overview

For over fifty years, retired Minneapolis schoolteacher Allan Law has immersed himself in the world of volunteerism. Law, known simply as ""Sandwich Man"" around Saint Paul and Minneapolis, has spent most of his adult life serving the homeless and disadvantaged. Literally every night for the past twenty-five years, Law has searched for people living on the street, providing them with sandwiches and clothing and anything else they need to ease their plight. Sandwich Man: The Story of Urban Servant Allan Law is a poignant look at a deeply committed man who has demonstrated that one person can truly make a difference. A true character with real character, Allan Law has become a human billboard for compassion and hope to the poor wherever he goes. He emulates the virtues many of us value so highly, and his story is an awe-inspiring model of selfless service.
