When Gerard Houllier took over as manager of Liverpool FC in 1999, his quest was to bring glory back to Anfield. Liverpool captain Sami Hyypia was born in 1973 and joined Liverpool FC in 1999. He played a large part in the club's Treble-winning campaign of season 2000-01 and the Super Cup success against Bayern Munich. Olli Hakala is a teacher of philosophy who has written several books on education. He is also the editor of the Finnish Football League's Internet site.
