Overview

Lancaster's beleaguered investigator of the paranormal, Sam Spallucci, is dragged kicking and screaming to an amateur production of Macbeth. If this was not bad enough, he suddenly finds himself frocked and lost in sixteenth century England with a rapidly diminishing chance of ever getting home. This short story was originally written for and performed at Morecambe's 2016 Bard By The Beach festival. Also contains a taster excerpt from Sam's first case: The Case of The Satanic Suburban Sitcom.

Reviews

"""The Sam Spallucci casebooks are the Lancastrian answer to Sam Spade, if he were a paranormal investigator. A.S.Chambers blends humour, horror and noir with deceptive elegance."" Peter Ray Allison - Geek Pride ""With the world of Sam Spallucci, A.S.Chambers brings Sam to life with his unique style of storytelling that will have you sucked into Spallucci's world right from the very start"" Karen Woodham - Blazing Minds ""Reading a Sam Spallucci novel is like diving back into a conversation with an old friend. You never know where it's going to take you!"" John Freeman - Down The Tubes ""Great little punches of mystery and adventure mixing the supernatural and occult with recognisable every-day characters and geek references for a really fun read."" Craig Hallam - Author of the Alan Shaw Trilogy. ""The way that Chambers beautifully blends the supernatural with the mundane is fantastic!"" Gemma Innes - Keiara Reads ""With the perfect blend of metaphysics, Grand Guignol horror, mystery, noir, time travelling brutal murder, and laugh out loud comedy, Troubled Souls rips wonderfully along with the pace of a thriller."" ""With a delight in the absurd and the grotesque, as much as in comedic observation, Chambers places the Sam Spallucci series squarely in the category of cracking fun."" Douglas Lindsay - author of the Barney Thomson series ""A.S.Chambers, he's irritatingly brilliant!"" Kelvin V A Allison, author of The Trouble With Rabbits. ""This is how to write a short horror story. That's all I need to say on the matter!"" Confessions of a Reviewer"
