Overview

Christians have produced different and varied interpretations of the New Testament Book of Revelation because it is a complex portion of Scripture - the narrative structure is inter-connected, it moves forwards and backwards in time, and uses a lot of symbolism - much of it related to Judaism. It presents prophecies about what must necessarily happen at the end of the present gospel age, with the appearance of the Messiah and the inauguration of the age to come.
