Overview

Salt Bones is a life crystallized. Though divided into four distinct sections, each poem is a sliver of a broader puzzle in which the question of how our personal experience affects our interactions with the world-be it natural or built, with others or ourselves, in dreams or reality-is explored. Though Salt Bones' poems are diverse in subject and geography, a common thread runs through: a yearning for wholeness; the unification of past and present.

Catherine is an author who lives in the Pacific Northwest. Her writing has appeared in Macleans, Quill and Quire, Dovecote, Verum Literary Press, and Augur Magazine, among others; as of 2026, Catherine has published three books. Catherine holds a double B.A. in creative writing and psychology, a B.Ed. in secondary English, and a graduate degree in art therapy. When not involved in any of the above, Catherine can be found reading, baking cakes, or getting lost in the woods.
