Author Information

The Author is a self-taught sailor who began his adventures in a 14' open-boat day sailer on fresh water lakes in the State of Minnesota, U.S.A. As his sailing abilities increased so did the size of his vessels, the last of which was a 30' sloop rigged Cruiser. The largest vessel on which he served as Captain was a Morgan 40'. Over a period of twenty five years he has sailed across the U.S. Great Lakes, the east coast of the U.S., the Bahamas Islands and the Virgin Islands in the West Indies. During twenty of those years he held a U.S. Coast Guard Captain's License to 'carry passengers for hire'. After choosing early retirement from the Commercial Financing industry he continued his boating adventures and now resides in Arizona, U.S.A. south of the well known Lake Mead.
