Sachigo Lake First Nation is an Oji-Cree First Nation located in Kenora District in northern Ontario, Canada. They are located approximately 425 km north of Sioux Lookout, Ontario. As of January 2008, the First Nation had a registered population of 770 people, of which their on-Reserve population was 447. Sachigo Lake is policed by the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service, an Aboriginal based service. The First Nation elect their officials through a Custom Electoral System, consisting of a Chief and four councillors. The current Chief is Titus Tait, whose two-year term began on April 1, 2007, and the four councillors being Alex Barkman, Robert Beardly, Caleb McKay and Daniel Sanderson.
