OverviewHigh Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Rygge Station is a railway station on the Ostfold Line in Rygge, Norway. In addition to serving the village, the station acts as an airport rail link to Moss Airport, Rygge via a free shuttle bus. The station has two platforms and is located on a 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) double track section of the line. It has hourly services by the Norwegian State Railways southbound to Halden and northbound to Oslo. The station was opened on 2 January 1879, as one of the original stations on the Ostfold Line. The station building was designed by Peter Andreas Blix. The railway past the station was electrified on 1 May 1940. The station became centrally controlled from 17 December 1973. The station building is owned by Rom Eiendom, who will rent the building to the National Rail Administration. Rom Eiendom stated that they hoped a cafe or other customer facility would rent part of the building as well.
