Author Information

Theda Skocpol is the Victor S. Thomas Professor of Government and Sociology at Harvard University. Her many books include The Tea Party and the Remaking of Republican Conservatism (with Vanessa Williamson); Upending American Politics (coedited with Caroline Tervo); and Diminished Democracy: From Membership to Management in American Civic Life. Lainey Newman is a JD candidate at Harvard Law School. She is a graduate of Harvard College and a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Rachel Perry narrates audiobooks from her home studio in Los Angeles, California. She is a prolific narrator of romance, but also enjoys working in the mystery, self-development, religion, parenting, and young adult genres. With a background in fine arts, she has studied art and acting in Toronto, New York, Los Angeles, and Second City improv in Chicago. She has been a TV host, performed comedy, acted in TV shows and commercials, and worked in radio.
