OverviewThis is an illustrated history of one of the world's most highly regarded sporting organizations, The Jockey Club. Through the eyes of famous sports figures of the turf, the book presents the drama of the ""sport of kings"". Early stories recount scandalous goings-on concerning certain members of the club. Through the days of Bunbury, Bentinck and Admiral Rous, to the present day when the Jockey Club has reached a watershed, where the British Horseracing Board has taken over the policy-making, leaviong the Jockey Club as a regulatory body.
